This weekend, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October 2026, the burger plan in Asunción is Burger Fest, the country's first burger festival, at Complejo Barrail Costanera, with about ten burger kitchens in one place. For a quieter table, go to one of La Burguesa's branches, have lunch at delSol with the first four hours of parking free, or keep it simple at a neighbourhood lomitería.

What is on at Burger Fest this weekend

It is organised by Natalia Dávalos Goiriz and Bruno Brusquetti, chef and owner of La Burguesa, according to InfoNegocios (opens in a new tab). They expect about 4,000 people a day.

  • Where: Complejo Barrail Costanera, on calle María Concepción Leyes de Chávez, which leads down to Asunción's Costanera.
  • Confirmed burger kitchens: Bernardino, Billy Smash, Landder Burger, La Burguesa, Burgero, Ed House, Butcher, Scala Tasty and Gula y Bacon, plus food trucks and tastings.
  • Music: DJ sets, live music, Nati Doljak and The Kilks.
  • Entry: general admission is G. 49,500, sold on Tuti (opens in a new tab). Children up to 7 get in free.
  • Kids and pets: there is a Kids Zone and the festival is pet friendly.

Tips: check each day's hours on Tuti before you leave. With 4,000 people a day, Saturday lunchtime and the evening will have the longest queues; arriving early lets you try two or three stands without much waiting. Keep your phone charged to show your ticket, and agree a meeting point if you arrive separately.

Where to eat a burger outside the festival

La Burguesa. It started at Food Park Mburucuyá in March 2017. In 2022, according to La Nación (opens in a new tab), it had branches at Casa Las Mercedes, Villa Morra Food Park and Dinerama, opened from 18:30, and was the first in Asunción to offer gluten-free burgers with care over cross-contamination. The most ordered was the entrecostilla burger, and there is a weekly "burger of the week". Check Instagram for which branches are open now.

The other Fest brands. If you liked Billy Smash, Bernardino, Burgero or Ed House at the festival, look up their own place on social media and save it for a Friday: the easiest way to build your own list.

Sunday lunch at delSol

delSol (Avenida Aviadores del Chaco at Profesora Delia González). The address is on its official site (opens in a new tab). The parking page (opens in a new tab) says the first 4 hours are free on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays; after that, Gs. 10,000 an hour, paid in the app, online or at the mall's terminals. The plan for grandparents or small children without a fight for a seat.

What about a lomitería burger?

For something quick and cheap, the neighbourhood lomitería is still the answer. In November 2025 the Asociación de Lomiteros del Paraguay quoted burgers at G. 15,000, G. 18,000 and G. 23,000, with a rise of about G. 2,000, according to Última Hora (opens in a new tab). The same report counted more than 1,000 lomiterías in Asunción and the metropolitan area, including carts, food parks and fixed shops.

Before you go

  • Fest ticket: buy it in advance on Tuti and keep it on your phone.
  • Paying: bring a card and some cash in case a terminal stalls.
  • Getting home: the Barrail is next to the Costanera; at night, order a ride-hailing car and wait inside the grounds.
  • Restaurants: check Saturday and Sunday hours on each place's own page that day.
