- Maru 79, Juan Zorrilla de San Martín 1384 at Cacique Tabaré. Fried chicken and tabletop grilling with rump cap, spicy pork loin, pork belly and duck, eaten as ssam in lettuce leaves (Pausa (opens in a new tab)). The same article says the grill absorbs about half the smoke, handy if you are dressed for a night out.
Home-style cooking downtown and near Mercado 4

- Gangnam, Perú 1091 between República de Colombia and Teniente Fariña. More than 30 years of traditional cooking: bulgogi, bibimbap, jeyuk bokkeum, pajeon and champong, with banchan refilled as often as you like. Delivery available.
- Seúl, Chile between General Díaz and Oliva, right downtown. It began as a grill restaurant in Mercado 4 and now runs a fusion menu adapted to Paraguayan tastes: creamy tteokbokki, spicy pork ribs, kimbap and a build-your-own ramyeon bar. Bookings and pick-up orders accepted.
Neither source publishes opening hours for these two, so message first, especially on a Sunday.
