How we choose businesses
- We start from each place’s public rating, adjusted for review count: every place starts as if it had 20 reviews at its category’s average rating in that city, and its real reviews move it up or down. A 4.7 from 300 reviews outweighs a 5.0 from three (up to 70 points).
- We add up to 25 points for complete, useful details: phone, hours, website and address, and up to 5 for recent reviews when we know their date.
- Closed businesses, temporarily or permanently, are left out. Duplicates across sources are merged.
- Every list shows how many businesses we reviewed and its update date.
Where the data comes from
We collect the data from social media, the internet and in-person checks, and review it before publishing. Every list shows when it was last updated.
Ads and sponsorship
The site is funded by ads marked “Sponsored”, kept apart from the content. No advertiser pays to be on a list or to change its position.
Use of AI
We use AI tools to help draft and translate, and some illustrative images are AI-generated. Contact details and list order come from the sources and method above.
