To choose a consultant in Lambaré, first write down what you need solved: tax and bookkeeping, setting up or formalising a company, hiring staff, or a legal matter. Then ask two advisers for a written proposal with scope, deadlines and fees, and go with the one who answers everything clearly. Lambaré borders Asunción (Wikipedia (opens in a new tab)), so you can compare firms on both sides without losing a day.

What kind of advice does your Lambaré business need?

Lambaré mixes food-service, textile, food, plastics, chemical and pharmaceutical industry with supermarkets, shopping centres and banks, and the municipality reports a growing number of people applying to open or regularise commercial, industrial and service licences (patentes) (InfoNegocios, June 2026 (opens in a new tab)). Depending on your case:

  • Bookkeeping and tax: monthly returns, ledgers and invoicing. Look for someone who works with Marangatú and electronic invoicing at the DNIT (opens in a new tab), Paraguay's tax authority.
  • Setting up or formalising: with several partners or custom bylaws, an adviser earns their fee. Simple cases you can handle yourself (see below).
  • Staff and labour: if you are hiring for a shop or workshop, a labour adviser sorts out contracts, payroll and IPS social-security contributions. From 1 July 2026 the minimum wage is G. 3,044,000 (ABC Color (opens in a new tab)) and the employee's IPS contribution is 9% (ABC Color (opens in a new tab)).
  • Legal: debt collection, contracts or claims. To represent you in court, a lawyer must be registered with the Supreme Court (opens in a new tab).

Do you need an adviser to open an EAS?

Not always. According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (opens in a new tab), the EAS (simplified joint-stock company):

  • Is set up online at eas.mic.gov.py through SUACE.
  • With standard bylaws, it is incorporated within 72 hours at no cost.
  • Has no minimum or maximum capital, and each partner is liable up to their contribution.
  • The legal representative signs in with an electronic ID and must be Paraguayan or hold a Paraguayan cédula.

If you are a single partner with standard bylaws, save the adviser's budget for the tax and payroll work that follows. The business licence for your premises is handled at the Municipalidad de Lambaré: ask there which papers your line of business needs before signing a lease.

Where can small businesses get free advice?

The SBDC San Lorenzo business development centre is a Ministry of Industry and Commerce SME programme run by the Unión Industrial Paraguaya, offering technical assistance and training (UIP (opens in a new tab)). It operates in the Ceprocal-UPA building, Lope de Vega and San Antonio, San Lorenzo, with free workshops on business models, formalisation, leadership and social media (La Nación, January 2025 (opens in a new tab)). In July 2025 workshops ran on Thursdays from 14:00 to 16:00, with limited places and registration on (0976) 911-198 (Última Hora (opens in a new tab)). From Lambaré it is a long cross-town trip, so call ahead and check the day's topic.

What should you check before hiring?

  • An invoice for every payment: every sale of goods or services must be invoiced (Sedeco via ABC Color (opens in a new tab)). Ask for the adviser's RUC tax number.
  • Not on the blacklist: the DNIT publishes lists of businesses barred for tax offences and of taxpayers in arrears (DNIT (opens in a new tab)). Whoever files your taxes should not be on them.
  • Bar registration, if a lawyer: ask for the number before signing a power of attorney.
  • Scope in writing: what they deliver, by when, and what costs extra (amended returns, extra meetings, municipal paperwork).
  • Deadline reminders: ask whether they send a calendar or alerts; in bookkeeping the costly mistake is the missed date.

Adviser in Lambaré or in Asunción?

Choose on the clarity of the proposal, not the address. For meetings in downtown Asunción, the Costanera Sur lets you skip Avenida Félix Bogado (ABC Color (opens in a new tab)); from the Villa Elisa side, allow for traffic on Avenida Defensores del Chaco (Última Hora (opens in a new tab)). Do the first call by video, send a one-page summary in advance (trade, staff, what you need to decide and by when) and keep in-person meetings for signing.

If you are about to open premises, also check what it costs to live and run things in Lambaré.
