To choose a spa in Lambaré, first decide what you want (a relaxing massage, a deep-tissue or sports massage, or a facial), then message for the treatment menu with price, length and who will treat you. Most of the city's businesses sit along Avenida Cacique Lambaré, the main commercial axis, or on Avenida Luis María Argaña (InfoNegocios (opens in a new tab)), so you can compare two or three in one outing.

Which kind of visit suits you?

  • Relaxing massage: to unwind after a long week. Ask for the actual time on the table, not the length of the whole appointment.
  • Deep-tissue or sports massage: for knots or if you train often. Mention any injury, recent surgery or pregnancy beforehand, and if pain persists, see a doctor.
  • Facial or skin treatment: cleansing, hydration, exfoliation. Ask which products they use.
  • Spa day: water circuit, sauna or steam plus a massage. Check what is included and what costs extra.

How do you know the place is licensed?

Paraguay's health regulator, the Superintendencia de Salud, advises checking that beauty centres hold a Health Ministry licence and display it in the waiting room; if it is not there, ask (Hoy (opens in a new tab)). In 2023 it shut a laser hair-removal centre in Asunción that lacked those papers.

For massages and simple facials, a tidy, licensed place is enough. If you are offered anything more, pay attention.

Which treatments do not belong in a spa?

The Paraguayan Society of Aesthetic Medicine warns that injectable aesthetic procedures are a medical act: they must be done by doctors in a clinic licensed by the Health Ministry and the Superintendencia de Salud, not in spas or hair salons (La Nación (opens in a new tab)). Products must be registered with Dinavisa, the health products regulator.

In October 2026, Dinavisa warned about units of two facial injectables with no health registration and urged people to demand the registration and a traceable origin before any procedure; reports go to postcomercializacion@dinavisa.gov.py (ABC Color (opens in a new tab)). If a spa offers fillers or botulinum toxin at a promotional price, it is the wrong place.

What should you ask before booking?

  1. Final price, length in minutes and whether a shower, sauna or steam room is included.
  2. Who gives the massage and what training they have.
  3. Cancellation policy and whether a deposit is required.
  4. Payment: QR is now Paraguay's most used electronic payment, with 68.1% of payments processed by Bancard in April 2026 (ABC Color (opens in a new tab)), but ask whether cards are accepted.
  5. Whether you get an invoice. Consumer law Ley 1334 requires prices to be shown with taxes included (Ley 1334 (opens in a new tab)).

How do you get the most out of it?

Book a day ahead for weekends, arrive 10 minutes early so your table time is not cut short, and avoid a heavy meal just before. If you are going as a couple, ask whether they have a double room. If it is a gift, make sure the voucher states the treatment, length and expiry date.

Before you go, send the same message to two spas in Lambaré with your preferred time and treatment, and pick the one that confirms price, length and licence in writing.
